The field of field of business and marketing education is a rapidly changing field of study. Just as the business world is constantly changing, teacher preparation in the areas of business and marketing education must remain current to prepare students for 21st century careers. The business and marketing education program focuses on the preparation of business and marketing teachers in grades 6-12. Business and Marketing education instructors teach a variety of courses in these grades from business law and computer applications to sports marketing and computer networking.

If you have a bachelor's degree in a business subject area and are now considering a rewarding career in teaching then business & marketing education might be for you. Individuals with bachelor's degrees in business subject often have the necessary subject background to be successful classroom teachers. A licensure-only option allows us to create a custom education plan toward your state class A licensure in business and/or marketing education. Typically this plan will include your educational "core" courses, and necessary business courses to ensure you meet the state content requirements and a student teaching experience.

If you are considering this option, send a letter of intent stating your desire to be considered for licensure-only certification in Business or Business and Marketing education and have your college transcripts sent for official review to:
