Business and Marketing Education

Alicia Finnell is an assistant professor in the Business and Marketing Education program in the department of Curriculum & Instruction at Appalachian State University. She also serves as the adviser to the Beta Phi Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda, the collegiate division of Future Business Leaders of America. Dr. Finnell has taught a variety of education courses and has worked in the education profession for over 14 years. She has taught at the high school, community college, technical college, and 4-year college levels. Dr. Finnell earned her doctorate in Workforce Education with a minor in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia. Her research interests include, but are not limited to, business education, teacher preparation, career education and exploration, and poverty prevention. Dr. Finnell serves the college and university communities as a member of several committees and organizations.
